The Holiday Market at Zenti Bistro was so much fun! This was my second time participating at the same venue, and it felt great to see some familiar faces again. I was happy to reconnect with a few small business owners I met the first time around, and I also had the chance to meet several new ones.
Having learned from my first experience, I arranged my display a little better this time—though I can already see a few more ways to improve for next time!
Even though we didn’t get a ton of foot traffic, the event was still such a meaningful experience. I loved connecting with the people who stopped by and with the other makers and creatives around me. Many of us share similar stories: we’re pursuing our creative passions and growing them into thriving side hustles. As the saying goes, “Do what you love and you’ll never work a day in your life.”
Tina Rhae started us off with some announcements on what to expect in 2026. Someone else led us in prayer and then a minute of silence for the passing of Coach Beam. We then took a group photo with my mom being at the front.
One of my favorite moments was hearing people’s reactions to my mom’s crocheted beanies and scarves. Several visitors stopped to admire them, which made my heart so full knowing her work touched people too.
The artisans at the market are talented, kind, and incredibly supportive. There’s a wonderful sense of community growing at Zenti Bistro, thanks to Tina Rhae and Ernie Janzen, and I’m truly grateful to be welcomed into it.
Here’s a list of all the wonderful makers who were there with me:
And guess what? We’re doing it again!
